The Lumi Quilt is a medallion style design built around a large snowflake. The pattern is designed for the confident beginner and beyond using straightforward techniques like strip piecing, half square triangles, and snowball corners.
Lumi is written in one size - throw (73 1/2 inches square), though borders could be added to make it any any size you want.
Fabric requirements are included in the images and are yardage based.
Lumi is the Finnish word for snow, a quiet nod to winter and the deep Nordic roots woven into life in my home state of Minnesota. My hope is that it brings the same quiet wonder to your home that winter brings to mine.
